Tour plan

• Day 1

  Arrive Delhi

  Airport pickup and check-in. Humayun's Tomb and a drive past India Gate in the afternoon.

• Day 2

  Delhi to Mandawa

  Qutub Minar in the morning, then north-west into Shekhawati. An evening walk among the painted havelis.

• Day 3

  Mandawa to Bikaner

  Across the plain to Bikaner. Junagarh Fort in the afternoon and the camel breeding farm before dark.

• Day 4

  Bikaner to Jaisalmer

  The Karni Mata temple at Deshnoke, then the desert road. Evening at Gadisar Lake.

• Day 5

  Jaisalmer and the Sam dunes

  The living fort, Patwon Ki Haveli, Kuldhara and Bada Bagh, then camel ride and a night at a desert camp.

• Day 6

  Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

  Sunrise at the dunes, then east via Osian. Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada in the afternoon.

• Day 7

  Jodhpur to Mount Abu

  Umaid Bhawan in the morning, then south into the Aravallis. Nakki Lake and Sunset Point in the evening.

• Day 8

  Mount Abu to Ranakpur

  The Dilwara temples early, then down the hill to Ranakpur for the Jain temple in the afternoon light.

• Day 9

  Ranakpur to Udaipur

  Kumbhalgarh Fort on the way, arriving in Udaipur for a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola.

• Day 10

  Udaipur sightseeing

  City Palace and Crystal Gallery, Jagdish temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari and the Monsoon Palace.

• Day 11

  Udaipur to Chittorgarh

  East to the largest fort in India — Vijay Stambh, Rani Padmini's palace and the Kirti Stambh. Night in Chittorgarh or Pushkar.

• Day 12

  Chittorgarh to Pushkar

  North to Pushkar, arriving for the evening aarti at the ghats and the Brahma temple.

• Day 13

  Departure

  The Ajmer Dargah on the way out, then Jaipur airport or the drive back to Delhi.
